South Africa has a lot to offer to its visitors. This most southern country of the African continent is very various in natures and the landscape. The temperatures are very pleasant, as they do not go below 10’C and more than 32’C during the year. Only high in the mountains you can find some snow. We have been there in the summer time, and the last thing that I have expected during the summer time in Africa was rain. All day long! It actually rained all days that we spent in the Kruger National Park on the photo safari adventure. You can imagine- not the best time to have the rain. Especially when your jeep is roofless… Even that it did not make us change our plans, and still we woke up at 5 a.m. every morning in order to spot wild animals. An amazing experience!

Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport:Safari

The very surprising thing for me was that this is such a green country. Forests there last forever.

After beautiful game reserve visit we continued our trip towards the Cape. We took a flight from Johannesburg to Cape Town. This world famous port truly impressed us.

We really enjoyed the city, and the best thing that we have experienced there, and we did not know about, was a carnival- the Brazilian kind of. This festivity, which lasts for hours, is a colorful parade of people dancing, playing musical instruments, singing… It is a big party! Local people come with some tents, chairs and reserve for themselves the best spots around the road where the artists are going to cross. They even come early in the morning to be sure that they have the best place to watch the spectacle.

It is hard not to notice one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World (named in 2011) in Cape Town, as it proudly stands on the side of the city. This is a famous Table Mountain, on top of which there is a view point opened for tourists.  The view from the Table Mountain:

To make ourselves sure that we are going to see all the most important attractions around, we decided to go to the organized tour, called The Best of Cape.

On the way we spotted a few wild ostriches:

In one day we were able to see the Cape of Good Hope that faces the Atlantic Ocean, from which are really impressive views, so amazing!

We also visited the wineries and local penguins. This is a real attraction, as not everybody knows that this special birds leave on the African land. Due to the fact that the ocean is very cold on that side, and so perfect for the birds, the penguins feel there at home.

This trip was one of the best I have been to.
