Seated in Victory: Becoming the Woman He Already Sees
There is a position you already hold.
Not one you are striving toward. Not one you will earn if you pray hard enough, serve long enough, get disciplined enough. A position that is already yours, right now, because of what He did — not what you do.
“God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realm.” (Ephesians 2:6)
Seated. Not striving. Not scrambling to prove yourself worthy of a seat at the table. Already there. Already reigning with Him, from a place the enemy cannot touch.
Most of us live far beneath this. We live from the ground floor of anxiety, self-doubt, and performance — when we’ve already been raised to the heavenly places in Christ. We forget the position, so we forget the power. We forget the love, so we forget who we are.
And this is the invitation today: become aware.
The Awareness That Changes Everything
Not more striving. Awareness.
Ask Jesus to show you how deeply He loves you — and how much that intimacy with Him unsettles every plan the enemy ever had against you. Sit with the victorious position He has already placed you in, fully surrounded by His protection. Let that truth reshape how you see everything happening in your life right now. Ask Him to lead you deeper still, into every corner you’ve kept guarded.
Because His Spirit isn’t finished. He is bringing you into the fullness of truth, saturating you in glory that transforms you from the inside out — shaping you, patiently, into His perfect reflection.
This is what it means to become the woman He created you to be. Not a project you complete. A reflection He is forming.
Your life was never meant to be your own small story, told in isolation. Your life is His story.
Out of Love Flows Everything
Here is the order that matters, and we so often reverse it.
We try to find identity first, then hope love will follow. We chase purpose, hoping it will finally make us feel loved. We build faith on our own effort, hoping power will show up somewhere down the line.
But it flows the other way.
His love is the foundation. Out of His love comes identity — you know who you are because you know whose you are. Out of identity comes purpose — you stop asking the world to assign you a role, because you already carry one. Out of purpose comes power — not striving power, but the quiet, settled power of a woman who knows her position. And out of power comes faith — because you have tasted enough of Him to trust Him with what you cannot yet see.
Love. Identity. Purpose. Power. Faith.
Round and round it goes, deepening each time you return to the awareness of how loved you are.
A Woman Wrapped in Strength
There is a woman in Scripture worth sitting with today.
“She wraps herself in strength, might, and power in all her works. She tastes and experiences a better substance, and her shining light will not be extinguished, no matter how dark the night… Bold power and glorious majesty are wrapped around her as she laughs with joy over the latter days… ‘There are many valiant and noble ones, but you have ascended above them all!’ Charm can be misleading, and beauty is vain and so quickly fades, but this virtuous woman lives in the wonder, awe, and fear of the Lord. She will be praised throughout eternity.” — Proverbs 31:17-18, 25, 29-30 (TPT)
Read that again slowly.
Her light doesn’t go out — not because the night isn’t dark, but because the source was never her own strength to begin with. She laughs over the latter days, not because she has no fear, but because she knows Who holds them. She is not applauded for charm or beauty — both of which fade — but for something that doesn’t: a life lived in awe of the Lord.
That is a woman who knows her position. Seated. Secure. Unshaken by the dark, because she isn’t the light source — she is only ever reflecting one.
That is who He is forming in you.
Living From the Position, Not Toward It
So much of our exhaustion comes from living toward a position we already have.
Trying to earn what’s already ours. Trying to feel worthy of a seat we’re already seated in. Trying to become someone we already are in Him, one step behind our true identity, out of breath, never quite arriving.
What if today you simply became aware? Not achieved — became aware.
Aware of the love that has held you before you ever performed for it. Aware of the position that was secured, not by your effort, but by His finished work. Aware that your story — the heartbreak, the healing, the waiting, the becoming — was never a detour from His story. It was always the way He was writing it.
Your life is His story.
Let Him keep writing it.
Walk Held, Beloved.
